When The Shift Hits The Fan

Life can be a shift-storm at times, that’s reality of the human experience. There is no way around it, the only way is through it. So, do what every good Girl Scout and Boy Scout would do, be prepared. Have a Shift-Storm Survival Kit well-thought-out and appropriately stocked. If we know that meditation and prayer help us stay connected and grounded, set the intention to do either, or both, more frequently and consistently during tough times. If we know that watching funny movies keeps our spirits light, we can have a list of movies at the ready. If we believe in the power of chocolate, we can stock up on a box of sixty assorted Godiva truffles with a ratio favoring dark chocolate raspberry (just sayin’). The point is: do what works for you.

Like any other cycle experience, if we know what we need to support us for the duration of the experience, we can have these supplies at the ready. When we make it a priority to be familiar with what we need to feel grounded and supported during difficult times, we find ourselves going into the experience with a sense of focus, clarity, and grounding. This preparedness can make all the difference in how we not only navigate the duration of a life-shift but also how we benefit from the experience once we have reached the clearing on the other side. We will feel less unbalanced, less uneasy, and less vulnerable. And, there will be far fewer mental, emotional, and physical messes to clean up.
